Barcelona go after Sterling

According to a recent report from Sport, Barcelona are prioritising a loan deal for Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling.

The belief is that they could make a move as early as the January transfer window with City not finding a consistent place in the starting XI for the England star.

Once upon a time Raheem Sterling was one of the most effective players in English football and ran riot through the Premier League. Alas, he appears to have dropped off ever so slightly in recent times with many believing his time in the spotlight as an elite level PL player has come to an end.

Even if that’s the case, though, La Liga may be an entirely different story.

Barca are attempting to rebuild the image of the club in a more positive light and if they’re going to do that successfully, they need to take a few risks – and that includes bringing in Sterling.
