The Brazil-born Italy international Jorginho has enjoyed a fantastic season with Napoli which only strengthened his case to be slotted on the same shelf as some of the world’s best playmakers.
The 26-year-old is a target for both clubs from Manchester but the latest reports coming from Sky Sports claim that Barcelona have thrown themselves in the race for the coveted midfielder.
Having established him as one of the key players at Partenopei, Jorginho has this term been a major part of Napoli’s Scudetto challenge against Juventus and Barcelona believe he would be a perfect fit in their team.
The Italian is seen as a direct replacement for departing Iniesta who will leave Barcelona at the end of the season.
The newly-crowned La Liga champions have already signed Arthur, a players who occupies the same position as Iniesta, but Jorginho’s experience of playing at the top level at Napoli is his biggest trump card over the talented Brazilian.
