Barcelona in Cristian Pavon pursuit

Spanish publication Don Balon is suggesting that La Liga champions Barcelona are looking to make a summer move for Boca Juniors star and Leo Messi’s pal Cristian Pavon.

The 22-year-old Argentine international once again proved his immense talent and quality in his country’s friendly win over Haiti, setting up Leo Messi for his third goal in a 4-0 goal glut.

The Catalan giants Barcelona are said to be keen to link Pavon with Messi at the club level as well and have reportedly already approached Boca Juniors over a possible transfer.

The Camp Nou outfit are eager to wrap up a deal for pavon before the World Cup but the Argentine heavyweights are expected to wait for the tournament to finish as they are aware Pavon’s value would most definitely increase in Russia.

Pavon is coming off from a highly successful campaign in Argentina where he scored 6 goals and recorded 11 assists in 25 league appearances.
