Spanish giants Barcelona are stepping up their efforts to sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalans long ago made the Brazilian their number one target, but they had several mega money offers rejected for the attacking midfielder.
Nevertheless, Liverpool seem ready to cash in on their star player this winter, as witnessed by the £75 million spent on Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk.
The news is enough to suggest that the Reds are already spending money from Coutinho’s proposed transfer to Barcelona, with the Catalans working hard on the deal.
A number of Barcelona footballers went public to state that Coutinho would be a great signing for the club and it is only a matter of time before he arrives at Camp Nou.
