Barcelona in Rodrigo Moreno discussions

Barcelona have started negotiating with Valencia over the possibility of signing Rodrigo Moreno on loan for the rest of the season, according to Sport.

The striker joined Valencia back in the summer of 2015 for a reported fee of €30 million, and since then he has had 96 goal involvements (56 goals, 40 assists) in 208 games in all competitions. Barcelona are in dire need of a man of his quality, having lost Luis Suarez to injury for four months. Recent reports claimed the Catalans are in for a striker, but only a top one as they seek to avoid repeating the Kevin-Prince Boateng fiasco of last year, and Rodrigo was mentioned as the preferred target ahead of the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal and RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.

However, funds seem to be tight at the moment so they would prefer a loan deal if possible, with an option to make it permanent in the summer.
