Spanish daily newspaper AS claims that Barcelona are considering a move for Real Madrid midfielder Isco.
The Catalans are going through financial difficulty at the moment, and they are forced to start searching for bargain signings.
This is one of the reasons why they have been showing interest in Real Madrid star Isco, who has less than 18 months left on his current deal.
With the attacking midfielder struggling for first team football at Santiago Bernabeu, it is by no means a given he will extend his deal and the Catalans hope they can sign him on a free transfer in July 2018.
That does seem like a tall order, but Barcelona officials clearly have nothing to lose and they have similar plans for long-term target Marquinhos.
The Brazilian recently signed a new deal until June 2019 with Paris Saint-Germain, and chances are he will not be leaving Parc des Princes any time soon.
