Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona are stepping up their efforts to recruit Brazilian defender Marquinhos from Paris Saint-Germain, Le 10 Sport can reveal.
It is no secret that the talented centre-back is keen to move to Camp Nou in search of first team football and the latest reports suggest that his employers are ready to negotiate the sale.
The two sides will meet later this month to discuss the summer transfer, meaning an agreement appears on the horizon.
Nevertheless, Le 10 Sport has learned that PSG will only sell their star player if the transfer is agreed quickly, as they want to have enough time to find him a replacement.
The ball is now in Barcelona’s court as they need to make an offer that the Saints will find satisfactory.
Marquinhos has shown a great deal of potential since joining from AS Roma, but he never quite managed to nail down a regular starting berth.
