La Liga champions Barcelona are considering a summer bid for PSG defender Marquinhos, El Mundo Deportivo has suggested.
The Catalans plan to recruit a high-quality centre-back in the summer transfer window and the Brazilian stopper is one of the first names on their hit-list.
Barcelona technical secretary Robert Fernandez has been in constant contact with Paris Saint-Germain as the Catalans are also eyeing Marco Verratti, Thiago Silva, Blaise Matuidi and Adrien Rabiot.
What is more, Marquinhos’ representatives have informed the Barcelona official that their client is keen on moving to Camp Nou.
Namely, Marquinhos has grown increasingly frustrated by the lack of first team opportunities at Parc des Princes, and he will express his desire to leave at the end of the season.
And while Paris Saint-Germain bosses would prefer to hold on to the talented footballer, they will probably be forced to consider a serious proposal for his services.
