According to Tuttosport, La Liga champions Barcelona are keeping tabs on French youngster Lucien Agoume. The 16-year-old prodigy has captured the attention of several high-profile clubs around Europe, with Inter Milan also said to be interested in acquiring his services. The teenager currently plays for Sochaux, and while many fans won’t know anything about him, the fact that Barca are showing their interest should be an instant sign of what he can do in the pitch.
The Spanish giants are no strangers to investing in world-class youngsters, but now that their intrigue in Agoume has been made public, it’ll be interesting to see whether any other European clubs start to invest their interest in him. Lucien, who was actually born in Cameroon, has been making waves in Sochaux‘s under-19s team which is what led to his sudden growth in notability amongst many other clubs. The French side are coming off the back of a mid-table finish in Ligue 2 last season.
