According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are considering making a move for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta this summer.
While this move comes across as unlikely to some, others feel as if it could be a real possibility – but only if Ronald Koeman leaves the club.
Koeman is set for some form of crunch talks in the next few weeks, with the expectation being that he could well depart in search of something new.
Arteta was able to win an FA Cup trophy with the Gunners last season but this campaign hasn’t exactly been a positive one up to this point.
Arteta’s youth career began at the Nou Camp and while a return is possible, we can’t imagine he would be the only candidate being prepared. After all, the future of a club like Barca is incredibly important, and their next appointment really can’t afford to be mismanaged.
