Barcelona interested in Emerson

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are currently monitoring 19 year old Emerson with the intention of bringing him to the Nou Camp in the not so distant future. Emerson has been making waves with Atletico Mineiro this season, and as a result Barca’s interest has peaked in the youngster – although they aren’t the only ones.

Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping an eye on him, and while you’d think that Barcelona would be the front runners, it all depends on what kind of move Emerson wants to make. We’ve seen a series of top foreign prospects come through the ranks at both the Emirates and the French capital over the course of the last few years, whereas a handful of Barca’s transfers have wound up spending months on the bench.

Emerson initially made his professional debut back in May, and ever since then, he has continued to progress and get better as the months have gone on.
