According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Spanish giants Barcelona are incredibly eager to try and complete the signing of Manchester City defender Eric Garcia during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Garcia may not have been the stand-out name at the Etihad this season, but he’s clearly shown enough to warrant interest from one of the biggest and best clubs in world football.
City are ready and willing to make some big changes during the summer in order to keep up with Premier League champions Liverpool, but you’d have to imagine it will take a substantial offer for them to get rid of Garcia.
Many of the Premier League’s top English clubs suffer with defensive problems and have done all season long, and while City did finish 2nd in the table, they aren’t immune from that. Now, they just have to decide which defenders they really value the most.
