According to a recent report from Goal, Barcelona have offered their vacant managerial position to former star Xavi.
The Spaniard is the head coach of Al-Sadd over in Qatar but he is believed to have an exit clause with the club that would allow him to succeed Ronald Koeman and become the new manager of his beloved Barcelona.
Koeman was sacked last night in the wake of his side’s disappointing defeat to Rayo Vallecano that further emphasised just how far they’ve fallen within the ranks of Spanish football this season.
They still have plenty of star players at their disposal but with everything that’s going on around the club, as well as their poor management under Koeman, things were destined to go south.
The next step is to bring someone in who can really unite Barcelona as one once again – and the hope is that Xavi is the man to do just that.
