Barcelona join chase for Fabian Ruiz

Catalan media outlet El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Barcelona are hot on the trail of Real Betis winger Fabian Ruiz.

The 22-year-old has been a real revelation in Spanish La Liga this season and has already seen Italian giants Lazio and AS Roma express interest in his services.

According to El Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona scouts are closely following Ruiz’s performances and the Catalans could step up their interest in the coming weeks.

Namely, they expect to see Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez leave the club in the summer, and could make their move on the Real Betis starlet.

Ruiz, who produced 2 goals and 6 assists in 30 La Liga outings this season, has a contract until June 2023 that contains a €30 million release clause.
