The Daily Express are reporting that Barcelona are keen on singing Brazilian sensation Neymar from Santos.
The attacker has previously been linked with English Premier League side Chelsea and Barcelona’s rivals Real Madrid.
It is now thought that Catalan club will join to race to secure the highly-rated player’s services.
It is unlikely that Neymar will decide his future until he has finished competing in the Olympic Games for Brazil at London 2012. It is his performances at these Games so far that have really got him noticed by the Spanish giants.
This could now start a bidding war between these three clubs and the team with the biggest wallet may be the ones that sign the 20-year-old.
It seems as though the La Liga runners-up last season are ready to step up their interest. Vice-president of the club Jose Maria Bartomeu said: “Neymar? We would all like to see him joining after the Olympics. If he decides to come to Europe we’ll try to make it Barça”
As mentioned though, Neymar will be focusing on winning the gold medal at the Olympics before he decided where to play his football next year.
Should he help the Brazilians come out on top, then a few more clubs could come in for the Santos man.
