Barcelona have been showing interest in Atletico Madrid star Koke and Bayer Leverkusen’s Lars Bender, according to Sport.
It is no secret the Catalans have started the search for a long-term successor to Xavi Hernandez, with the two highly rated midfielders apparently on their radar.
Atletico Madrid’s Koke is seen as a perfect replacement for the former Spain international, having already proved his worth on domestic and international stage, but prizing the 22-year-old away from Vicente Calderon will be no easy task.
It is for that reason that the Catalans are also keeping close tabs on Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender.
The 25-year-old has long been on the radar of Europe’s top clubs, and even if his deal at Bay Arena runs until June 2019, he is expected to finally leave die Werkself in the near future.
Bender, who should be available for €25m to €30m, has developed into one of league’s top footballers since leaving 1860 Munich for Bayer Leverkusen.
