AS Roma sporting director Monchi has moved on to reveal that Spanish giants Barcelona are interested in signing the Giallorossi starlet Cengiz Under.
The 20-year-old AS Roma starlet is enjoying a highly successful debut season in the Serie A having scored 5 goals in 21 league outings and another one in two Champions League displays.
Under continued his flying form during the international break when he contributed to Turkey’s pulsating 2-2 draw in Montenegro on Tuesday night.
Speaking about Under’s impressive season both for club and country, Monchi revealed that Turkish starlet is being followed by Barcelona.
“It is true that Barcelona have an interest in the player. His agent has a strong relationship with Barca and he informed me that there is definitely an interest there.”, Monchi told Radyospor.
AS Roma have yet to receive any official offer for their high-flying midfielder, however.
Giallorossi are determined to keep hold of Under and make him an important first-team player in the future.
Under joined AS Roma last year after a single season with Basaksehir in the Turkish Super Lig.
