Southampton right-back Cedric Soares is being lined up as a potential transfer target for La Liga champions Barcelona, according to reports from the Telegraph.
The Catalans are yet to find the long-term solution for the problematic position at right-back as Aleix Vidal suffered a serious injury recenlty and Barcelona are actively seeking alternatives, with Southampton man being the last name to be added into the mix.
The 25-year-old Cedric Soares joined the Premier League club back in 2015 for a fee believed to be in the region of £5 million and the Saints are unwilling to let their key player leave for a fee lower than £15 million.
The Premier League side is facing uncertainty over the futures of Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Bertrand, and are believed to be rather reluctant to see Cedric leave for Barcelona.
Former Sporting Lisbon defender has grown to become a vital member of the club since his arrival. He made 18 Premier League appearances for Southampton this season, all of which were starts.
