Catalan daily newspaper Sport has suggested that Barcelona are keeping close tabs on FC Koln full-back Jonas Hector.
The Catalans are in the market for a left-sided defender as Adriano Correia is widely expected to quit Camp Nou this summer.
According to Sport, Germany international Jonas Hector is high on their wish list following some strong performances for Die Mannschaft at the Euro 2016 finals.
The 26-year-old managed to establish himself as a first choice left-back in the national team despite representing a mid table Bundesliga side, but he is now widely tipped to make a big club move.
Hector, who only has two top flight seasons behind him, spent every minute on the pitch as Germany reached the Euro 2016 semi-final, and he will be spoilt for offers in the summer transfer window.
But, with Jordi Alba an undisputed starter at Camp Nou, it remains to be seen whether he will be interested in a move to Catalunya.
