Champions League holders Barcelona are hot on the trail of Valencia centre-back Shkodran Mustafi, according to Radio Esporte Valencia.
The Catalans apparently aim to add some fresh blood to their back line and they are considering a move for the Germany international.
Barcelona reportedly plan to recruit the 23-year-old during the winter transfer window and could open talks with Valencia in the coming weeks.
Shkodran Mustafi only joined los Che last summer, having arrived in an €8 million deal from Valencia, but he quickly managed to prove his worth at Mestalla.
The talented footballer started 33 league matches during his first season, scoring 4 goals, with Real Madrid going on to express their interest in his services.
The Germany international, who has been capped 8 times by die Mannschaft, might not be staying with los Che for much longer if he continues playing at this level, despite the fact that his contract runs until June 2019.
