Barcelona keen on Philippe Coutinho

Catalan daily newspaper Sport claims that Barcelona are weighing up move for Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.

The Brazilian is widely regarded as one of the Premier League’s leading footballers and his performances this season have been nothing short of impressive.

Coutinho has also started proving his worth on international stage and he had a key role to play in Brazil’s 3-0 triumph over arch rivals Argentina last night.

Reports from Spain claim that Barcelona sporting department are keen on bringing the Brazilian to Camp Nou, but prizing him away from Merseyside will be no easy task.

For the first time after quite a while, Liverpool stand a realistic chance of ending the lengthy title drought and they will want to keep hold of their star player for as long as possible.

Philippe Coutinho was signed from Inter for mere €13 million and he has since managed 34 goals and as many assists in 157 competitive appearances.
