El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Barcelona are considering a summer move for Atletico Madrid forward Luciano Vietto.
It is no secret that Luis Enrique aims to sign a quality footballer who would act as back up to the MSN trio and Sevilla’s Kevin Gameiro is his primary target.
However, with los Rojiblancos unwilling to let their star player leave, the Catalans have reportedly turned their attention to Luciano Vietto.
Barcelona were interested in signing the then Villarreal hotshot last summer, but the Argentine eventually accepted an offer from Atletico Madrid.
However, with the 22-year-old largely struggling for playing time at Vicente Calderon, the Catalans believe he would be interested in a summer move to Camp Nou.
Barcelona officials believe he would quickly integrate himself into the group at Camp Nou considering that the youngster is a close friend of Lionel Messi, but it remains to be seen whether the La Liga rivals can agree on a transfer fee.
