Red Bull Salzburg defender Dayotchanculle Upamecano has emerged as a target for Spanish champions Barcelona, Sport can reveal.
The Catalans are well aware of the youngster’s talent and they continue to monitor his performances.
Manchester City and few other top clubs are casting admiring glances his way as well, as the 18-year-old keeps playing at a very high level.
Upamecano had made his first team debut for Red Bull Salzburg in March 2016, and he has since established himself as an undisputed starter.
The central defender has started 14 league fixtures this term and he is predicted a bright future in the game.
It remains to be seen whether Red Bull Salzburg will be able to hold on to him for much longer, as his suitors are widely expected to step up their interest in the near future.
Upamecano has so far represented various youth national teams and he is currently a member of the France Under-19 side.
