Sport Mediaset has suggested that Spanish giants Barcelona are in pole position to sign Lazio midfielder Antonio Candreva.
The Italy international has been on the radar of Europe’s top clubs for a couple of years now, but he has so far resisted temptation to leave the Biancocelesti.
Nevertheless, with Lazio largely struggling this season, Candreva has reportedly set his sights on quitting the Stadio Olimpico at the end of the current campaign.
Spanish powerhouses Barcelona are believed to be leading the chase for his signature, while Napoli, AC Milan and Inter Milan are keen as well.
And while Lazio are ready to consider selling their prized asset, a €35 million asking price could prove to be an issue for Candreva’s suitors.
Antonio Candreva, 28, has been a key member for club and country for several years now, bagging a total of 37 goals in 140 league appearances for the Biancocelesti.
