According to Spanish media reports, Barcelona have lined up Chilean midfielder Carlos Carmona as a replacement for Yaya Toure, who left the Catalans for Man City recently. Carmona, 23, currently plies his trade for Italian outfit Reggina, and could be bought for as little as 2.3 million euros.
Carmona started his career with Coquimbo Unido and was with the Piratas till 2007, when he joined O’Higgins. He left O’Higgins after just a year to join Reggina, his current club. Carmona is a Chilean national team regular and featured in three of their four matches at the 2010 World Cup. He was suspended for the final group game against Spain- the only match which he did not play.
