Barcelona line up Iniesta replacement

Barcelona are looking at Lazio playmaker Luis Alberto as they aim to sign a long-term replacement for club icon Andres Iniesta.

The 33-year-old has decided to leave Camp Nou at the end of the season and the Catalans have already begun the search for his successor.

According to reports from Spain, Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto has now emerged as one of their top targets.

The Spaniard, who enjoyed a loan spell with Barcelona B few years back, has been in excellent form this season, producing 10 goals and 16 assists for the Biancocelesti.

Despite only making one international appearance so far, Luis Alberto is tipped to make Spain’s World Cup squad.
