Barcelona linked with Arsenal and Brazil star Gabriel Martinelli

Barcelona are interested in signing Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli, according to Sport. The report in the Spanish publication has claimed that La Liga giants Barcelona are watching the Brazil international forward in action at the 2022 Qatar World Cup and are also monitoring his contract negotiations with Premier League club Arsenal.

Martinelli is one of the best young forwards in the world and has established himself as one of the best players at Arsenal. When fit and available, the 21-year-old is one of the first names on Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s teamsheet. Martinelli starts on the left of a front-three for the Gunners.

So far this season, Martinelli has scored five goals and given two assists in 14 Premier League appearances for Arsenal. The Brazil international forward has also made three starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Europa League for the Gunners so far this campaign.
