Barcelona linked with Arsenal midfielder Jorginho

Barcelona are interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Jorginho in the summer transfer window, according to Mundo Deportivo. The former Chelsea star is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season and is available on a free transfer. The Italian midfielder has offered himself to Barcelona, who are keen on snapping him up.

Jorginho has been on the books of Arsenal since January 2023 when he joined from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea. The 32-year-old Italian midfielder has made 10 starts and 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League, providing two assists in those games.

Barcelona are second in the La Liga table at the moment. The defending Spanish champions have picked up 67 points from 30 games, while bitter rivals and league leaders Real Madrid have collected 75 points from 30 matches. Meanwhile, Arsenal currently find themselves at the top of the Premier League table with 71 points from 31 matches.
