Barcelona linked with Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta

Barcelona are interested in signing Chelsea right-back Cesar Azpilicueta, according to Mundo Deportivo. Spanish and European giants Barcelona are looking for free agents in the summer of 2022, and one of the players they have identified is 32-year-old Spain international Azpilicueta, who can also play as a central defender.

Azpilicueta has been on the books of Chelsea since 2012 and has established himself as one of the key players in the London club’s team. The 32-year-old defender has won the Premier League twice, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the Champions League once each, and the Europa League on two occasions.

Spanish defender Azpilicueta remains a player at the top of his game and would be a great sign for Barcelona, especially on a free transfer. However, it is very likely that Chelsea will offer Azpilicueta a new deal.
