Barcelona are interested in signing Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan, according to 90min. The report has claimed that La Liga giants Barcelona are tracking the Germany international midfielder, who is out of contract at defending Premier League champions City at the end of the season.
Gundogan has been on the books of City since 2016 and has been a massive player for Pep Guardiola’s side over the years. During his time at the Etihad Stadium so far in his career, the Germany international midfielder has won the Premier League title four times, the FA Cup once, and the EFL Cup on four occasions.
It is unlikely that City will sell Gundogan in the January transfer window even if they lose him on a free next summer. After all, the German is a key figure in the team, and Guardiola needs him in order to win the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League this season.
