Barcelona linked with Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot

Barcelona want to sign Diogo Dalot from Manchester United in the January transfer window, according to Sport. The Spanish publication has claimed that La Liga giants Barcelona wanted to sign Dalot from Premier League powerhouse United in the summer transfer window, and that the Blaugrana still remain keen on the 23-year-old right-back.

Dalot has been on the books of United since 2018 when he joined from FC Porto. The Portugal international right-back spent the 2020-21 campaign on loan at Serie A giants AC Milan. Although the youngster is out of contract at the Red Devils at the end of the season, United do have the option to trigger an extension.

Barcelona are second in the La Liga table at the moment with 16 points from six matches, just two points behind leaders Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Manchester United currently find themselves fifth in the standings with 12 points from six games.
