Barcelona are interested in signing Andriy Lunin from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to Defensa Central. It has been reported in the Spanish news outlet Barcelona president Joan Laporta personally asked Lunin’s agent Jorge Mendes about the goalkeeper’s situation while meeting up with him over a new deal for Lamine Yamal.
Madrid do not want to sell Lunin to Barcelona, and that is what Mendes is reported to have told Laporta. The super-agent also made it clear to the Catalan club’s chief that the 26-year-old Ukraine international goalkeeper himself does not want to leave Los Blancos at the end of the season.
Lunin has been at Madrid since 2018 and is the second-choice goalkeeper for the defending Spanish and European champions. The 26-year-old has won La Liga twice and the UEFA Champions League on two occasions with Madrid in his career.
