Barcelona loan Keirrison to Cruzeiro

Barcelona forward Keirrison has been loaned to Cruzeiro until the end of the year, the Catalan club have confirmed.

Barcelona revealed via their official website that the Brazilian would be farmed out on loan to Cruzeiro until 31st December 2011.

The 22-year-old was signed by the Catalans two years ago for the fee of €14 million, but he never managed to break into the first team squad.

Keirrison had little success during the loan spells at Benfica, Fiorentina and Santos, but he is now given another chance to prove his worth before returning to Barcelona.

Before the deal was announced, the Brazilian forward was training with Barcelona B.
