Catalan daily newspaper Sport has unveiled the list of potential targets Barcelona officials are looking at.
The Catalans appear to have shifted their focus towards the South American market and they are currently scouting no fewer than five talented footballers.
Santos midfielder Thiago Maia is one of their top targets, and he has been heavily linked with a big club move of late.
The Brazilian has been mentioned as potential replacement for Thiago Motta at PSG, after impressing for the Selecao at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Universidad Catolica defender Francisco Sierralta is another player the Catalans are keeping close tabs on, just like Estudiantes La Plata forward Jeisson Vargas.
Oscar Estupinan and Carlos Ibarguen are the final two footballers on Barcelona radar, but none of these players is expected to arrive at Camp Nou any time soon.
They need to continue their development and realise their potential before the Catalans make their interest concrete.
