Barcelona looking at Stephen Lichtsteiner

Spanish giants Barcelona are keeping close tabs on Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalans are widely expected to cash in on Aleix Vidal and recruit a new right-sided defender in the January transfer window.

And while they are also looking at Joao Cancelo, Hector Bellerin and Darijo Srna, Juventus star Stephan Lichtsteiner remains on their radar.

The Swiss full-back has struggled for playing time since the arrival of Dani Alves from Camp Nou and he has expressed his desire to leave at the earliest opportunity.

Having performed admirably at the highest level for so long, Lichtsteiner would be a very good addition to the Barcelona squad, and he would be eligible to represent the club in the Champions League as he did not appear in the competition this season.

The 32-year-old will be available for a nominal fee considering that his current contract in Turin is due to expire at the end of the season.
