Portuguese daily newspaper O Jogo has learned that Barcelona have made a fresh check on long-term target Danilo.
It is no secret that the Catalans see the Brazilian defender as a perfect long-term replacement for Daniel Alves, but they want to make sure the FC Porto starlet has what it takes to play at the highest level.
As a result, Barcelona had their scouts present as the Dragons defeated Vitoria Guimaraes at the weekend.
Seeing as the Catalans are unable to sign new players before January 2016, they have to work hard in order to beat other interested sides to the player’s signature, with arch rivals Real Madrid reportedly keen as well.
Danilo, 23, has been playing at a very high level since joining FC Porto from Santos, and the good news is his current contract is due to expire in June 2016.
The talented footballer ended his exile from the national team in October 2014 and has so far started five matches under new boss Carlos Dunga.
