Spanish champions Barcelona are working on a deal for one of the most prized jewels of the Valencia youth academy – Fran Villalba – according to a local radio station Radio Taronja.
Having strengthened their business connections with Los Che after summer deals for Andre Gomes and Paco Alcacer, the Catalan giants are currently attempting to lure the 18-year-old Spanish international Villalba to the Camp Nou.
Barcelona emissaries have been keeping a close eye on the player who had gone through Valencia’s youth ranks and whose future looks fairly uncertain at this point.
Barcelona official Robert Fernandez is personally leading the talks with the highly-rated teenager who is believed to be a perfect fit for Barcelona’s style of play.
Blaugrana technical director has made an offer that is three-time Villalba’s current wages at Valencia with a promise that the talented youngster would soon be included in the first-team alongside Barcelona’s biggest stars.
Fran Villalba made his Valencia debut in 2015, but is yet to establish himself as a first-team regular for Los Che and is believed to be seriously considering Barcelona’s offer.
