Barcelona are planning a summer swoop for Milan defender Thiago Silva, Marca has revealed.
The Catalans expressed interest in signing the Brazilian at the start to the season, but eventually opted against making a formal bid.
Marca now claims that the Spanish giants are prepared to reignite their interest in the player, having made him the number one priority for next summer.
The Catalans will have around €50 million to spend on new players in the summer transfer window and most of the transfer kitty is going to be spent on defensive reinforcements.
Gareth Bale and Thiago Silva are currently on the club’s shortlist, but Pep Guardiola would rather sign the Brazilian.
Milan are not too keen on selling the 27-year-old, but Marca believes that a €30 million offer should be enough to take the defender to Camp Nou.
Silva’s form this season has been nothing short of impressive, and he is one of the reasons why the Rossoneri boast one of the best defensive records in Serie A.
