The future of Jadon Sancho almost certainly lies away from Manchester United, following his well-publicized fallout with manager Erik ten Hag. Ten Hag’s arrival at the helm at Old Trafford seems to have spelled the end of Sancho’s time there, and the Dutch tactician has accused former Borussia Dortmund winger of lacking professionalism in training, to which Sancho responded fiercely in a social media post he has since deleted. As things stand, Sancho is not a part of United’s squad, and that is unlikely to change any time soon.
According to Sport, Barcelona are closely monitoring the situation. United would like to send the troublesome 23-year-old on loan in January, with the hope of raising his market value for the summer, but the Catalans will not make such a move. They will rather wait for the summer, and try to get Sancho in on a permanent deal, as a replacement for Ansu Fati, currently on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion.
