Catalan daily newspaper Sport claims that Barcelona are weighing up a new assault on Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera.
With Paris Saint-Germain driving a hard bargain over their top target Marco Verratti, the Catalans seem ready to turn their attention to the Red Devils hotshot.
Their new head coach Ernesto Valverde is a big fan of the 27-year-old footballer, having coached him at San Mames, and he hopes they will get reunited at Camp Nou.
Some sources suggest that Herrera could be available for €40 million, but the problem is that Jose Mourinho sees the Spaniard as an important member of the squad.
Manchester United fans have been especially impressed with the player’s leadership abilities and they want Herrera to be named new captain.
