Barcelona aren’t interested in signing Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to Sport.
Apparently, the left-back has offered his services to the Catalan club as he contemplates various possibilities in terms of his destination, should he leave north London. He has been linked with Manchester United a while back, while more recent reports speak of an interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
At Barcelona, they feel that a fee in excess of €20 million, which is reportedly the sum Spurs expect to pick up for Rose, is one that they shouldn’t be paying on a player whose main role in the squad would be to act as a backup for first choice Jordi Alba. Apart from the financial aspect, the La Liga champions would also prefer a younger player, one who could be a viable option for a more prominent role in the future, which is something the 29-year-old England international can hardly offer.
