Catalan super club Barcelona are set to offer injury prone midfielder Rafinha to Italian giants Juventus, reportedly in order to provide the player with an opportunity to earn his place in the Brazil national team for the 2018 World Cup, according to Spanish publication Sport.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from Barcelona for some time now and is still in the midst of recovering from a long-term knee injury that has seen him sidelined for over six months. Last season was the midfielder’s most successful campaign in a Barca shirt as he scored seven goals in 28 games across all competitions, but the Brazil international has never managed more than 24 appearances in a single La Liga season in Catalonia.
The sporadic game time, coupled with the abundance of talent ahead of him in his side’s midfield, makes it somewhat unsurprising that Rafinha is being linked with a move. According to reports Juventus aren’t interested in the midfielder at present, but there are no doubt a whole host of teams who would be willing to take a shot on a player who is clearly brimming with talent.
