Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo claims the La Liga champions Barcelona have been offered an opportunity to sign the French World Cup sensation Benjamin Bavard.
Stuttgart right-back hit the limelight in Russia with a string of top-class performances. The Frenchman received the Goal of the Tournament award for his sublime kick against Argentina, which swiftly propelled him to prominence.
Ever since the World Cup ended, Pavard has been linked with a number of Europe’s biggest clubs but the latest reports have it that the player himself is desperate to join Barcelona.
Pavard will reportedly be on a €35 million release clause ahead of the 2019 summer transfer market with Bayern Munich said to have already put their claws on the player. Mundo Deportivo claims, however, that nothing has been set in stone and that Barcelona are considering a move for the 22-year-old.
