Barcelona plan Garcia bid

According to a recent report from Sport, Barcelona are planning a bid to try and sign Eric Garcia in the January transfer window.

The long-running saga of Barca trying to bring Garcia back over to the Nou Camp has been ongoing for quite some time now, with Garcia himself reportedly being desperate to leave the Etihad. Barca have already sanctioned the move and with Ronald Koeman putting a new defender at the top of his priority list, you’d have to imagine this will get over the finish line sooner rather than later.

The fee in question is believed to be £7.2 million and when you think about the first team experience that Garcia already has in European football, that could easily be viewed as quite the steal.

Still, Pep Guardiola will want to try and do all he can to persuade him to stay, even if it is starting to look pretty unlikely.
