Barcelona have prepared what has been described as an ‘extensive’ package to try and lure Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland to the Camp Nou, according to the Mirror.
The 21-year-old striker is reportedly available for €75 million this summer, a sum widely regarded as a bargain for a player of his age and quality. Since joining Dortmund from RB Salzburg in January 2020, the Norway international has scored 80 goals and contributed 21 assists, taking his total goal involvement tally to 101 in just 79 matches for the club.
Barcelona’s attempts to improve their attacking ranks have been thwarted heavily in the last year. Sergio Aguero, whom they signed as a free agent last summer from Manchester City, was forced to retire from playing due to a heart condition. The club couldn’t afford to keep hold of Lionel Messi, and Ousmane Dembele has refused their offer of a new contract and will leave as a free agent at the end of the season. On the other hand, they did sign Ferran Torres from Manchester City last month.
