According to a recent report from Sport, Barcelona have a “total agreement” to bring Ferran Torres to the Nou Camp.
While there have reportedly been some issues between them getting a deal over the finish line, it now appears as if they’re ready to move forward with a deal to ensure Torres’ next destination is Barcelona.
The one thing still holding them back is believed to be the £60 million asking fee from Manchester City. The reigning Premier League champions have some incredible squad depth at the Etihad and can afford to let Torres go, but they aren’t willing to do so without getting a decent amount back in return.
The 21-year-old has only been at City since last year but it appears as if both parties are ready and willing to move on. If it happens, we’d expect to see it dragged out until the summer transfer window hits at the end of the season.
