Barcelona reach agreement with Bernardo Silva

Barcelona have reached an agreement in principle with Manchester City attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva over a move in the summer transfer window, according to Nicolò Schira. The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that Silva, who can also operate as a winger, is open to signing a contract until 2026.

Schira has added that former La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Barcelona are confident of signing Silva before the summer transfer window closes. The Blaugrana will make an official bid of around €60 million to defending Premier League champions City fo Silva in the coming days.

Silva has been on the books of City since 2017 and has been superb for Pep Guardiola’s side over the years. The Portugal international has won the Premier League title on four occasions, the FA Cup once, the EFL Cup four times and the FA Community Shield twice.
