Barcelona have reached a total agreement with Leeds United over the transfer of Raphinha, according to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari. The Catalan club are set to pay €58 million as the guaranteed part of the fee, with €7m to come on top of that amount in the form of add-ons.
Raphinha, who has impressed for Leeds since his arrival from Stade Rennais two years ago, has made a total of 67 appearances for the Premier League side, scoring 17 goals and providing 12 assists for his teammates. Primarily a right winger, he is also capable of playing on the left or through the middle as a No.10, and he has three goals in nine matches as a Brazil international.
Clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United were mentioned as interested in his services several months ago, but as those rumours grew cold, Barcelona emerged as the frontrunners to secure his signature. Arsenal and Chelsea are also believed to have made an effort, but the 25-year-old is thought to have had the Camp Nou in his mind as the preferred destination for some time.
The paperwork between Leeds and Barcelona is expected to be signed on Wednesday.
