It has not even been a year since they have made this signing and they are already eager to see his back. It looks like Barcelona could very well be selling Neto, their second-choice goalkeeper, after signing him last summer from Valencia. This report came from Mundo Deportivo, who are claiming Barca could be ready to let the Brazilian make a move if they were to get 15 million euros.
Neto arrived last summer in a deal many have said is a shady one. They had spent 26 million euros on Valencia keeper with another 9 million in potential bonuses. But the other way went Jasper Cillessen, Barca’s former second-choice goalkeeper, in a deal worth 35 million euros. Some even reported that one of the deals was legally finished on 30 June, the last day of the season, and the other on 1 July, the first day of the new campaign, suggesting the clubs were trying to get past Financial Fair Play regulations.
Whatever might be the case, Neto played just four times for Barcelona this season.
