Barcelona readying bid for Clement Lenglet

Spanish giants Barcelona are ready to make their move on Sevilla starlet Clement Lenglet, Sport can reveal.

The Catalans have been keeping close tabs on the Frenchman from the very start to the season and they are looking to submit an official bid for his services.

Barcelona plan to match the player’s €30 million release clause, and they have already established initial contact with his agents.

Namely, with Sevilla officials hoping to persuade Lenglet into signing a new deal that would see said clause significantly increased, the Catalans want to avoid that happening and they have, therefore, informed the player’s agents of their plans.

The 22-year-old has been in excellent form ever since he joined los Rojiblancos from Nancy some 18 months ago, making 47 La Liga appearances and scoring 3 goals.
